BEST SKILL RANK 4th - 2nd August 2014

*** Recent Best Skill Rank - 14th - 24th May 2023 ***

The League of Champions has been running since the summer of 2007.

The league has come far, originally set up with a few friends, friends of friends and some few additional random xperters it has gone from just 17 members in season 1 to its current size of 72.

Compared to other leagues, the LOC (abbreviation for League of Champions) is similar to some of the best leagues except in one unusual way. It changes its league format once every 4 seasons to a champions league format that affects the top tier by adding a knockout phase.

Usually the league formats in a 1:1 system. 6 divisions of 12 teams, 3 getting promoted from each and 3 getting relegated. However, come every fourth season each tier is split into two groups of 12 teams. This season is known as a COC (abbreviated for Cup of Champions) season which changes the dynamics of the league and throws a few extra balls into the mix. Promotions and relegation places are affected on either side of a CoC season due to the change in the format. The sides that are in the top division battle it out in their groups to avoid relegation but also in a bid to qualify for places in the knockout phase of the competition. If successful they compete in a straight knockout with the other qualifiers from the top tier until one remains.

The league has been a great success and would like to thank all the assistants down the years for their help.

The League assistants are doing an excellent job of running several competitions, so please get involved in them if you decide to join.

If you want to take over an available side then please go ahead, all members of xperteleven are welcome. If there are no current places leave me a message and I will get back to you when one opens up.

In the League Of Champions, all sides are not required but are encouraged to make at least one press release each week.

Records, history and player stats have been introduced to make this an even more exciting league and are to be updated at the end of each season.

Any views or ideas from all members are invited and encouraged.

Good luck all games are on Wednesday and Saturdays at 2pm GMT.

LET THE GAMES COMMENCE!

LEAGUE HISTORY:

League of Champions originated in June 2007 for players of all capabilities!

Season 1, our first season, was set up with two divisions, the 'The League Of Champions' containing 9 members and Division 1 containing 8. Dan2186's Redman United were crowned as champions as they thrashed the league despite mind games from other managers.

Season 2 had 9 sides in each division, with Elmers End FC taking the trophy away from Redman United who finished only a few places above relegation.

Season 3 changed its format to a CL system, a new dynamic added to the leagues and something that has continued ever since! All clubs were involved as clubs were split into 4 groups with the top 2 from each progressing to the knock outs. Kevinem85's HydePark Hysterics won the competition in its first year of running.

Season 4 started on 12th December 2007 and returned to the usual league 1:1 format. Redman United regained the league trophy that he won in season 1, becoming the first club to win the title twice.

Season 5 continued with the league format and for the first time in their history HydePark Hysterics won the league on the last day of the season, pipping it on goal difference to Birmingham24's The Burninators.

Season 6 returned to the Cup of Champions, which split the top flight into two groups of 6 sides, Thai Tackles FC and Newnagar FC Both won their groups and ended up meeting each other in the final of the cup with AndyLevy's Thai Tackles FC pipping Newnagar to the trophy with a dominating second half performance resulting in a 2-0 victory for the southeast Asians.

Season 7 reverted back to the League of Champions and has experienced the biggest expansion since its establishment. 3 tiers each of 12 sides with the bottom 3 each being relegated. Anwarag's Newnagar FC did one better in this season taking the league title by storm!

Season 8 Continued with the League of Champions expanding further with a total of 48 members, adding a fourth tier into the mix known as the Amateur League. This season also announced its first ever VIP prize awarded for a xpert related competition which was won by Aceroo of KipasSusahMati FC. The League of Champions proved to be the most competitive yet, and HydePark Hysterics won the league trophy, making it their third major award. Neon Neon became the first Amateur league winner and in style without a single defeat!

Season 9 (A Cup of Champions Season) with many VIP prizes given out (12 months worth). The level of competitiveness and banter was very high and enabled the league ranking to reach a new high of 66th! A friendly version of the Cup of Prospects was also introduced to give winners of lower leagues the opportunity for cup glory and FC Banjo took the credit as they beat Liverpool Red Stars in the final. Redman United won the Cup of Champions beating off runners up Fear Me XI.

Season 10 League expands the 1:1 system so that each league contains 14 sides instead of the previous amount of 12. HydePark Hysterics regain the league title slaughtering the league and picking up a record 61 points.
Champions Division 1 winners: Liverpool Red Stars
Champions Division 2 winners: Kaiser Sauzee
Amateur League winners: Basbeall Furies
Season reached highest ranking of 41 during this season.

Season 11 became the most thrilling LOC season ever with the unlikley champions being FC Banjo. They fully deserved their trophy which saw them take it from HydePark Hysterics who finished in fourth two points behind. AFC Dons and South China FC finished a very close second and third just 1 point behind.
Champions Division 1 winners: Kaiser Sauzée
Champions Division 2 winners: Jesus & His Pandas
Amateur Premier League winners: Athletico Toad
Amateur Lower League winners (new division): Pigsy FC

Season 12 was another successful COC season which saw The Burninators finally winning a major trophy in a thrilling final against newly promoted Neon Neon. The reduction from 14 sides to 12 teams per league affected some lower promotions, but most teams knew what to expect for season 13.

Season 13 saw Thai Tackles FC clinch their first league title which then saw manager Andy Levy retire from the game. Former champions FC Banjo returned to the top tier.

Season 14 FC Banjo reclaimed their league title on their first attempt back in the top tier after relegation.

Season 15 COC season sees a quick vibrant season whereby Jesus & His Pandas pick up the trophy in their debut season in the top tier. An excellent achievement for team and manager Jesus1983 after several seasons of promotion from the lower leagues proving that it can be done no matter when you join the LOC.

Season 16 Returned to the usual format. Old timers Redman United return to their former glory and pick up their first league title since season 4. A very tight league which saw just 5 points separate the top 6 teams and demonstrates the balanced competition in the league. It can be anyones!!

Season 17 This LOC proved to be one of the most interesting title two way battles since the early year battles between the HPH and Redman. The new boys in town were Jesus & His Pandas and Liverpool Red Stars. Despite Jesus & His Pandas finishing on 51 points, Liverpool Red Stars defied the odds and went the entire 22 game season without defeat scraping into first place on 52 points gaining their first piece of major silverware! Congratulations.

Season 18 the Sixth CoC season! For the first time the league shifted it's CoC season playing just one game a week to allow for an additional competition, known as the Cup of Prospects or CoP. Jesus & His Pandas came out on top with a 3-0 victory over Winchester Winkles in the final with HydePark Hysterics becoming the first club to win the Cup of Champions for the second time with a 118th minute strike against finalists The Ali Shuffle. The Cup of Prospects has since never been played again, due to a lack of popularity with the one game a week slog of a season. Jesus & His Pandas remain the champion of that competition to this day.

Season 19 Reverts back to the LoC season, and Jesus & His Pandas win the league in convincing style not losing a single game and only dropping points in one game when they failed to beat Winchester Winkles. Jesus & His Pandas become the first club to obtain three trophies in their cabinet. The CoC, the CoP and the LoC!!

Season 20 Finally, after 20 seasons Winchester Winkles fans have something to cheer about! The manager (brother of the league's administrator) nathanshum picks up his first major trophy in the LoC with an excellent season beating Jesus & His Pandas (the formidable side in the division at this moment in time) by a solid 4 points. It was left to the final day of the season but Nathanshum will be delighted nonetheless with a now non empty trophy cabinet. The last of the 'old big four' (Redman United, HydePark Hysterics, The Burninators and Winchester Winkles) to pick up this trophy!

Season 21 saw the 7th COC season. Due to a vote the Cup of Prospects did not continue and games reverted to two per week instead of the trial season 18 COC season. The finalist of the COC saw Jesus & His Pandas pick up their 4th major trophy with a convincing 3-0 victory against the up and coming Razor Sharks.

Season 22's LoC was picked up by FC Banjo, their 3rd league title but first in 8 seasons. They were pushed by CoC champions Jesus, but FC Banjo stood out superior in the league. After 22 seasons HydePark Hysterics got relegated out of the top tier for the first time becoming the last club to do so. Proving that anyone can make it and fall in this fantastic league!!

Season 23 saw Jesus & His Pandas pick up the title once again after a great start by Neon Neon faltered towards the end and was rounded off by a thrashing by the eventual champions 7-1 which inevitably decided the title.

Season 24 saw Winchester Winkles win their first ever CoC season with a win against FC Banjo. 4-2 final result made for a thrilling final. The Burninators and Razor Sharks were the losing semi finalists. Newcastle Emus won the Interim Cup (an arranged friendly competition) with a 2-1 victory over Harrow Heights.

Season 25 saw FC Banjo win their fourth LoC title, a record! Pipping second placed HydePark Hysterics by two points.

Season 26 saw FC Banjo win their fifth LoC title becoming the first club in league history to win the league in two consecutive seasons. The Burninators finished a close second.

Season 27 almost saw FC Banjo win a third major title in three seasons but another CoC final penalty shoot out saw them lose out to Harrow Heights. Harrow pick up their first major trophy after successive promotions.

Season 28 and once again FC Banjo just missed out on the LOC trophy, this time to ElkieR's Team Panini - our 10th different champion in 6 years of running. Even though Team Panini held top spot for much of the season, manager ElkieR left it to the very last game of the season to secure the title with a 3-1 victory over Red Knights FC.

Season 29 saw the likes of Neon Neon and Red Knights FC relegated after struggling to maintain top flight football. Winners of the LOC came by Nathan of Winchester Winkles with a couple of games to spare, his second title and third trophy to join the Winkles cabinet. Even though Team Panini came in at second place, they took top spot in the LOC official rankings.

Season 30 and another Cup of Champions tournament, this saw the likes of new boys Sporting Stars and Penarol making a name for themselves, both reaching the semi finals, only to be knocked out by a goal each to Team Panini and holding CoC champions Harrow Heights respectively. In the final there could be only one champion with Harrow Heights securing there second title with a 2-0 win. Bomba and Billy Bumbler Oy fell to the woes of relegation.

Season 31 saw FC Banjo back at the helm after a season long battle with Legend Killers. Winchester Winkles took up a late surge but it was too little too late as they were 1 win short of winning the title. Division 1 promotees N.U.T.S. and lionsroar struggled to get a foothold in a tight division to see them relegated with Canadian Celtic.

Season 32 again saw teams Lointown FC and Bomba FC promoted from division 1 last season head straight back down taking with them Sporting Stars. It was not all bad news for last seasons promoted sides as 25DIDI11's Steagu Rosu stormed through the division, securing the title with two games to go.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Carrasco Dagos
Champions Division 2 Winners: JoMo United
Conference Winners: Supra Elite
Amateur League Winners: Ajax Amsterdam

Season 33 saw both group winners Steagu Rosu and Harrow Heights battle it out in the final of the Cup of Champions, with 25DIDI11's Rosu holding on to a first half 2-1 lead to become champions. Canadian Celtic and lionsroar fell from grace with both teams experiencing a brief season amongst the elite.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Elite Panda Pirates & JoMo United
Champions Division 2 Winners: FC Salford & FC Campus
Conference Winners: Spurs FC & Ajax Amsterdam
Amateur League Winners: S.S.C. Napoli & Cymru am byth

Season 34 saw Penarol pick up the LoC for the first time in their history, 12 seasons after Elzaro's boys first joined the League of Champions. They had worked their way up the leagues rapidly, reaching the top tier in time for the CoC of season 30 (of which they were a losing semi finalists). They pipped Steagu Rosu by just two points this season. HydePark Hysterics were relegated alongside JoMo United and Legend Killers.
Champions Division 1 Winners: FC Campus
Champions Division 2 Winners: Tiburones Mexicas
Conference Winners: Cymru am byth
Amateur League Winners: Shanghai Knights

Season 35 began to see the dominance of Penarol as they picked up back to back league titles of the LoC and in style too without a defeat and winning 18 of their 22 league games. Harrow Heights finished 14 points behind them in second. Manchester United (formerly Jesus' Pandas) were relegated with Salford FC and Lothlorien FC (no longer in existence).
Champions Division 1 Winners: Sporting Stars
Champions Division 2 Winners: Y.O.L.O
Conference Winners: Shanghai Knights
Amateur Premier League Winners: Misty Mountain
Amateur Lower League Winners: Toronto FC
------LEAGUE MERGER------
Season 35 also saw the emergence of the LoC with the Pompees Blue Leagues. Pompees Blue League title winners included Bingo Bango Blues (6 time champions), Best Test Icicles (2 time champions), Toronto FC (4 time champions) and Route 19 the last winner of the Pompees Blue League! It was Toronto FC who had immediate success in the LoC, winning the Amateur Lower League ahead of all the other merged teams.

Season 36 once more saw the dominance of Penarol. A CoC season and this time Penarol went one round further than they had in season 30, reaching the final but falling to FC Campus. FC Campus had been in the league since season 9 and under the management of their boss 'Thore', they had become a solid Champ Div 1 & 2 side until they decided to reform, dropping down the leagues during seasons 26 to 30 before their huge rise up the divisions and entry into the top tier last season (35), where they finished in a safe 8th. Their win against Penarol in the final was an underdog victory, especially seeing as they only managed to finish fourth in their group, just 1 point above 5th placed Carrasco Dagos, however their CoC Final win showed the difficulty of continued success in the LoC. Bomba FC and FC Banjo were relegated as they both finished bottom of their respective groups.
Champions Division 1 Winners: JoMo United & Y.O.L.O
Champions Division 2 Winners: Lionsroar & The Vagrants
Conference Winners: Perugia & Lemonade Athletic
Amateur Premier League Winners: Toronto FC & Bingo Bango Blues
Amateur Lower League Winners: Big Test Icicles & Route 19

Season 37 was a LoC season and this time, long serving JoMo United picked up the title. Their first ever success! The club had been in the league since the fifth season, but it wasn't until season 18 when PhDJohn came on to the scene that the side began to more and more become an established top tier side (after previously hovering around Champ Div 1 & 2). JoMo United became a bit of a yo yo side between the LoC and Champ Div 1 but their promotion last season (36) was followed by an impressive and immediate success in season 37, winning by 7 points ahead of an emerging Y.O.L.O. Team Panini, Red Feather FC (no longer in existence) and Steagu Rosu went down.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Lointown FC
Champions Division 2 Winners: HydePark Hysterics
Conference Winners: Pescara
Amateur Premier League Winners: Arsenal FC
Amateur Lower League Winners: Chubby Chasers

Season 38 saw Thore's FC Campus pick up their second major trophy just two seasons after their CoC success. They finished the league ten points clear ahead of Carrasco Dagos in second. FC Campus only lost once that season and although they may have been the underdog two seasons ago they showed that it wasn't a fluke with a near perfect season. Legend Killers, Lointown FC (their second attempt in the top tier ending in very similar circumstance to their first attempt back in season 32, finishing 11th and immediately returning to CD1) and Xamax (their first stint in the top tier - 3 seasons in total) all went down.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Team Panini
Champions Division 2 Winners: Toronto FC
Conference Winners: Canadian Celtic
Amateur Premier League Winners: Rapid Bucuresti
Amateur Lower League Winners: Zulu Warriors

Season 39 - This should have been a CoC season but for the first time in the competition's history, it was missed and a LoC 'normal' season played out. Y.O.L.O became the league victors, for the first time and 10 points clear of second placed JoMo United. Y.O.L.O managed by Jokito since season 16 (formerly under the name KNVB), did have a spell in the top tier between seasons 19 and 26, but in a similar method to other managers went into reform dropping down divisions. They won the APL in S32, the Conf in S33, CD2 in S35, CD1 in S36 and came runners up in their return to the LoC, 10 seasons after their last appearance. They turned that rapid rise up the leagues into a top tier dominance, starting from this season. Carrasco Dagos, Sporting Stars and Manchester United fell down a division.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Cymru am byth
Champions Division 2 Winners: Route 19
Conference Winners: Chubby Chasers
Amateur Premier League Winners: Big Test Icicles
Amateur Lower League Winners: Tubruc Coffee

Season 40 - Y.O.L.O made it two on the bounce but this time pipping Team Panini to the league title by just a point. Season 40 was Winchesster Winkles and current league admin Nathanshum's last season. The club finished 6th, mid table on 32 points and many believed the lack of silverware for the club had disillusioned the man who had been at the helm since season 1. Under Nathan's leadership the club had experienced only 1 relegation and although beginning in CD1 for season 1, had otherwise always been in the top flight throughout his guidance, picking up 3 top major league titles in 20,24 and 29. HPH's Kevinem85 took over as league admin after previously handing the reigns to his brother back in season 29. Pescara went down with Red Feather FC and Buschwackers. Bushwackers manager was sacked as a result of their awful season and in stepped a former great, Birmingham23 - former manager of one of the Old Greats 'The Burninators'.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Carrasco Dagos
Champions Division 2 Winners: Ventoux Victors FC
Conference Winners: Big Test Icicles
Amateur Premier League Winners: The Chiefs
Amateur Lower League Winners: Mad Max 11

Season 41 - Y.O.L.O made history as they picked up the league title for the third successive season, never achieved before (although Penarol were close to doing this in season 36). They won with a whopping 60 points which included 19 wins in their 22 games and no defeats. A league record, points wise in a 12 team league system. Once more, Team Panini finished in runners up place but this season 12 points behind their title rivals. FC Campus, Manchester United and Winchester Winkles (who were now having an interim period after Nathanshum's departure at the end of season 40) were all relegated.
The season reduced the number of league members from 72 to 60, combining the bottom league back to the Amateur League.
Champions Division 1 Winners: HydePark Hysterics
Champions Division 2 Winners: Racing Club Roquefort
Conference Winners: lionsroar
Amateur League Winners: Mad Max 11

Season 42 - The first CoC season since Season 36. Y.O.L.O, current league champions topped their group along with Sporting Stars. However, it was Team Panini who went on to win the competition, picking up their first major trophy since season 28 and deservedly so after sitting under the shadow of Y.O.L.O over the past few seasons. Lizb08's Sporting Stars were the unfortunate final losers, and only just. The game finished 1-1 and after no further goals were scored during extra time, the match went to a penalty shoot out which finished 3-2 after Sporting Stars missed their final three penalty kicks. Team Panini at last had their trophy. EK Thistle and Cymru am byth were relegated after they finished bottom of their respective groups (both were in line for an immediate return though during season 43).
Champions Division 1 Winners: FC Banjo & Big Test Icicles
Champions Division 2 Winners: Billy Bumbler Oy & Ghost Riders XE
Conference Winners: Team 70 & Kinglassie Benzostars
Amateur League Winners: Neutralino WIMPs & Trebuh FC

Season 43 - Team Panini made it two on the bounce, winning the league ahead of old time rivals Y.O.L.O by 3 points. 1 defeat and 51 points saw to it that the club would pick up their third major trophy. This season saw the first ever 'Pompey League' member play out a season in the top tier. The side were Big Test Icicles and they finished in a very strong 4th place on 36 points. FC Banjo and Sporting Stars fell down a league with winless Chubby Chasers.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Cymru am byth
Champions Division 2 Winners: Toronto FC
Conference Winners: Lointown FC
Amateur League Winners: Tiger Lillies

Season 44 - ElkieR's Team Panini picked up the championship for the third season in a row, emulating Y.O.L.O's previous success. They finished the season on a strong 52 points, although just 1 point above league title chasers 'JoMo United'. Bomba FC dropped into the relegation places and down a league along with Manchester United and Big Test Icicles. FC Banjo and Sporting Stars bounced straight back from their previous season's relegation but this time were joined with Route 19 (the second club from the Pompey League to reach the top tier).
Champions Division 1 Winners: FC Banjo
Champions Division 2 Winners: Steagu Rosu
Conference Winners: Tiger Lillies
Amateur League Winners: Zulu Warriors

Season 45 - The 14th CoC season saw Y.O.L.O and Peñarol reach the final after finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively in their group. The final was a very tight affair and only penalties could separate the two sides with Peñarol winning 6-5 and picking up their second CoC title. FC Banjo were relegated from their group, their second relegation from the top tier in three seasons and beginning to be known as a yoyo club. They were relegated along with Fiorentuta (formerly Ventoux Victors) under new management. Their replacements in the top tier will be Bomba FC (an immediate return) and Cleveland Steamers (return for the first time since season 22 - when they were known as Seafield Samba).
Champions Division 1 Winners: Bomba FC & Cleveland Steamers
Champions Division 2 Winners: Tiger Lillies & Westworld
Conference Winners: Mad Max 11 & Radiata FC
Amateur League Winners: Lemonade Athletic & Bushwackers

Season 46 - A LoC season that saw a 3 way battle between Team Panini, JoMo United and former greats HydePark Hysterics. It was PhDJohn's JoMo United that picked up their second major title after ousting Team Panini on goal difference only. Fiorentoni, EK Thistle and Route 19 were relegated to the second tier. Their replacements were the yoyo-ing FC Banjo and FC Campus who both finished 2nd and 3rd respectively behind a dominant and a big favourite for season 47 in the LoC, Tiger Lillies. They smashed Champions Division 1 with 62 points, a giant 19 points ahead of FC Banjo in second.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Tiger Lillies
Champions Division 2 Winners: The Chiefs
Conference Winners: Lord Beaverbrooks Boys
Amateur League Winners: Winchester Winkles

Season 47 - the first season to prepare for the new format of the CoC which will now consist of 20 teams in each tier but occur every 4 season instead of 3 and as a result impacting promotion/relegation places.

Tiger Lillies, season 46 winners in Champions Division 1, stormed to the top of the League of Champions, finishing top and claiming their first ever major trophy, 11 points clear of Y.O.L.O. Due to the change in format, no sides were relegated, but Lointown FC won Champions Division 1 and were joined with Erin Heather, Fools Glory, EK Thistle, The Chiefs, Fiorentoni, Steagu Rosu & Champions Division 2 winners The Polity in a promotion to enter the new formatted CoC which now included 20 sides instead of the usual 12.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Lointown FC
Champions Division 2 Winners: The Polity
Conference Winners: Screen Stars
Amateur League Winners: FC Phobos

Season 48 - the first CoC under the new format saw Legendof88's Tiger Lillies add to their success of last season and pick up their first ever CoC trophy after winning their group 10 points ahead of The Polity, whilst Y.O.L.O pipped group B on goal difference ahead of FC Campus. The final eventually saw Tiger Lillies win against Thore's FC Campus, in a very much one sided affair, 2-0.

The complicated restructure back to the LoC format occurred for the first time smoothly and successfully.
MID League Winners: Lord Beaverbrooks Boys & Toronto FC
LOW League Winners: FC Phobos & Rapid Bucuresti

Season 49 - with Tiger Lillies dominating the previous two seasons it was more of the same this time round too, with Legendof88 showing just how good he had made this side, finishing 10 points clear once more at the top. Jokito's Y.O.L.O, despite only losing one game themselves finished in that runners up spot in the shadow of Tiger Lillies.

At the other end of the table, S48's cup finalist FC Campus plummeted in the relegation spots, along with Lointown FC and FC Banjo. Their replacements were Champion Division 1 winners were Tweetie Pie Bunch making an immediate return to the top flight after their relegation during the previous CoC season. They were closely followed by Lord Beaverbrooks Boys, taking them in to the top flight for the first time (15 seasons after Vbhalla first took the job), and third placed The Chiefs, who like Tweetie Pie Bunch were making an immediate return.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Tweetie Pie Bunch
Champions Division 2 Winners: Legend Killers
Conference Winners: Masterblasters
Amateur League Winners: Clarets Haydock

Season 50 - After several seasons of clear dominance at the top, this season was decided by the matter of 1 goal. Again, Tiger Lillies won the league making it 4 trophies in succession. They pipped newly promoted Lord Beaverbrooks Boys by goal difference only. The latter perhaps regretting a draw in their penultimate season fixture. In one of the most exciting season finale's Tiger Lillies won 2-0 in their fixture, leaving Vbhalla's Lord Beaverbrooks Boys needing a 4+ victory. They only managed to win 3-0 but did score a fourth which was disallowed. The fans were to rue that decision for years!

Cleaveland Steamers and HydePark Hysterics were relegated with just 1 win and 8 points in total between them. They were joined by Steagu Rosu, 25DIDI11 final season at the club after 35 seasons! Their replacements in the top flight were the return of the Legend Killers, the immediate return of FC Campus and Toronto FC. Managed by Archangael, Toronto FC made it to the top tier for the first time since the league merger with Pompey Blues League - the former league administrator of that.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Legend Killers
Champions Division 2 Winners: Bushwackers
Conference Winners: N.U.T.S.
Amateur League Winners: Chubby Chasers

Season 51 - After last season, it seemed that sides had caught up with the formidable Tiger Lillies, but that just seemed to be a hiccup of a season. Tiger Lillies went on from strength to strength, finishing the season as champions once again with a massive 60 points, no defeats and 18 points clear of the same runners up in Lord Beaverbrooks Boys, a fifth title in a row!

No sides were to be relegated as next season would be a Cup of Champions, but Champions Division 1 winners were constants Bomba FC. Making a return back to the big time after their relegation after the last CoC in S48.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Bomba FC
Champions Division 2 Winners: Fiorentoni
Conference Winners: Winchester Winkles
Amateur League Winners: Bertha Berlin

Season 52 - Cup of Champions season.
CoC A was won by, yep you guessed it, Tiger Lillies, in their relentless dominance of the League of Champions. Finishing 8 points clear of group runners up Y.O.L.O.
CoC B winners were Team Panini, 5 points ahead of JoMo United.
The final of the CoC was to see both group winners pitted against one another. Legendof88 went down in history as Tiger Lillies saw yet another successive title victory with the 2-1 final win against ElkieR's Team Panini. The result left Tiger Lillies in the history books as the club with the longest title winning streak of 6 (closest rival is 3), and joint most number of titles with FC Banjo.
MID League Winners: Steve Bruces Barmy Army & Green Lantern
LOW League Winners: Kops Army & Kinglassie Benzostars

Season 53 - After a decent start to the season, albeit with a few defeats and nowhere near the dominance seen in the previous 6 seasons, Legendof88 decided to announce that he would be resigning at the end of the season, perhaps opening up the league title to everyone else. Vbhalla's Lord Beaverbrooks Boys had already looked a decent outfit this season as well as in previous seasons prior to the announcement and went on to win the division with a respectable 48 points, 3 points ahead of Y.O.L.O. Legendof88's Tiger Lillies finished their final season in 4th, ending their amazing run and waved goodbye to one of the best managers to have played in the league.

At the other end Screen Stars, The Chiefs and Fiorentoni were all relegated. They were replaced by 3 sides who had all never been in the League of Champions, they were Champion Division 1 winners Trebuh FC (managed by Huberta), runners up and Bananan's Westworld and Rambo33's Green Lantern.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Trebuh FC
Champions Division 2 Winners: Route 19
Conference Winners: Racing Club SRT
Amateur League Winners: Beverley Tigers

Season 54 - Masterblasters, managed by D-K since S44 and promoted to the top tier prior to S52's CoC season, went from strength to strength and topped the division with 50 points, 1 point ahead of league rivals Team Panini. Masterblasters finished the season off with an impressive 5-0 victory over former greats Tiger Lillies (now and temporarily called Melancholy Magpies).

Trebuh FC & Green Lantern were immediately relegated after their first taste of top flight football. They were joined by JoMo United who finished the season with a record low 1 point. These 3 were replaced by yoyo clubs Screen Stars (who won Division 1) and The Chiefs. They were also joined by Division 1 runners up Spartans FC who had been relegated during the last CoC season.
Champions Division 1 Winners: Screen Stars
Champions Division 2 Winners: Chubby Chasers
Conference Winners: Perak TBG
Amateur League Winners: Steagu Rosu

Season 55 - Jokito's Y.O.L.O last won the League of Champions back in S41 (third time in a row). After many seasons of near misses, 4 runners up and a CoC final defeat, Jokito did it again! Y.O.L.O finished ahead of league champions Masterblasters on 55 points, 6 points clear. With just one defeat and 4 goals conceded - didn't concede a single goal for the entire first half of the season - Y.O.L.O always looked set to win the league. Their defeat came in their penultimate match away to Masterblasters.

Screen Stars, Legend Killers and the once great Melancholy Magpies (Tiger Lillies) all would have dropped a division had it not been a CoC season next...
Champions Division 1 Winners: Route 19
Champions Division 2 Winners: Canadian Celtic
Conference Winners: Zulu Warriors
Amateur League Winners: Jemtia City

Season 56 - Cup of Champions Season.
CoC A was won by Y.O.L.O, continuing where they left off from last season. They finished 10 points clear of Route 19 (Champions Division 1 winners from S55). Lord Beaverbrooks Boys & The Chiefs finished 3rd and 4th respectively.
CoC B was won by Masterblasters, also showing their prowess over the rest of the sides, finishing 11 points clear of Team Panini. Westworld finished 3rd and Winchester Winkles entered the fray for the first time since Nathanshum took them to the semi finals back in S36, this time, with highly ranked manager Nisse_Knutsson in charge.
The knock outs played out and saw Y.O.L.O surprisingly defeated in the semi finals by Lord Beaverbrooks Boys. This meant Vbhalla's men would face D-K's Masterblasters in the final! It wasn't to be an underdog season and D-K picked up the CoC trophy, winning the final 1-0 in the 86th minute. This title made it 2 titles for Masterblasters in 3 seasons.
MID League Winners: The Monk Inn & HydePark Hysterics
LOW League Winners: Correys Left Boots & Wuppertal Gladiators

Season 57 - LoC Season
D-K's Masterblasters continued where they left off from last season and stormed to their third major title in four seasons with an emphatic league title challenge that saw them pick up 50 points and finish a solid 8 points clear of league runners up Eleven Deadly Venoms - who themselves finished in their highest ever position, managed by Pai_Mei since S51.

Route 19 and The Chiefs fell short of the mark and were relegated, along with former LoC champions Lord Beaverbrooks Boys, ending their first stint in the top flight (an 8 season stay). They will be replaced by CD1 champions HydePark Hysterics along with FC Banjo & Borussia Dortmund.

Champions Division 1 Winners: HydePark Hysterics
Champions Division 2 Winners: Perak TBG
Conference Winners: Lionsroar
Amateur League Winners: Redman United

Season 58 - LoC Season
D-K's Masterblasters became the 4th club to win 3 titles in a row with yet another sterling league performance, albeit being pushed right to the end by runners up Jokito's Y.O.L.O. Anything but a loss was required on the final day of the season for Masterblasters and they ensured they did just that away from home with an excellent 2-0 away win against mid table Winchester Winkles. Masterblasters finished 3 points clear of Y.O.L.O with 49 points in a very competitive league.

FC Banjo & Borussia Dortmund immediately returned to Division 1 after finishing in the relegation places. They went down along with Westworld. Division 1 champions The Monk Inn (managed by Kearsley99) were promoted to the top tier for the first time since S29 when they were known as Red Knights FC under a different manager. They were joined in the top tier with Rapid Bucuresti (first time in the top tier during a LoC season) and returning Lord Beaverbrooks Boys.

Champions Division 1 Winners: The Monk Inn
Champions Division 2 Winners: Lionsroar
Conference Winners: Redman United
Amateur Premier Winners: Leeds United
Amateur Lower Winners: FC Basel Bears

Season 59 - LoC Season
There was only one side on the cards to the win the League of Champions during S59 and that was Eleven Deadly Venoms. It would be their first ever major league success after being in the LOC since S28. Manager Pai_Mei took over the club in S51 and stabilised the side in the top tier winning eventually this season with 54 points, a huge 13 points ahead of Y.O.L.O, who once again finished the season in runners up position.

At the other end of the table newly promoted Rapid Bucuresti and Lord Beaverbrooks Boys finished in what would usually be the relegation places. However, due to next season being a CoC season this was avoided. Canadian Celtic finished bottom of the league but again were not relegated.

Champions Division 1 Winners: FC Banjo
Champions Division 2 Winners: Danish Dream Team
Conference Winners: Leeds United
Amateur Premier Winners: FC Basel Bears
Amateur Lower Winners: FC Phobos

Season 60 - CoC Season
CoC A was won by Team Cubanos (formerly Team Panini) under the stewardship of BanditTheRaccoon who had taken over from ElkieR at the start of the previous season. They won the group with just 1 defeat, 55 points and 12 points clear of the chasing pack, which included Chubby Chasers, Lionsroar (best season ever) and league champions Eleven Deadly Venoms (with Pai_Mei departing towards the end of the group stage part of the season).
CoC B was won by Jokito's Y.O.L.O who went undefeated and finished on 50 points, ahead of Masterblasters, HydePark Hysterics and FC Banjo.
The knock out stages continued in the same vain as the group stage with the top two from each group reaching the semi finals and then the group winners, Team Cubanos & Y.O.L.O facing each other in the Final. The final was an edgy affair with just a few chances. At half time the score was 0-0 but Y.O.L.O took the initiative early on in the second half. Team Cubanos were unable to pull one back and Jokito's Y.O.L.O won their fifth major trophy and first ever Cup of Champions.

MID League Winners: Jake the Muss FC & Central FC
LOW League Winners: Beadles Gammy Hand & Mad Max 11

Season 61 - LoC Season
Returning back to the usual format, Y.O.L.O built on their success in last season's CoC. Despite losing their league opener Jokito's side finished the season strongly and ran away as league champions with an 8 point lead, ahead of D-K's Masterblasters and Kevinem85's HydePark Hysterics in 2nd and 3rd respectively. No other side looked like they were ever going to challenge Y.O.L.O, who pick up their 6th title, level with FC Banjo & Tiger Lillies (now Samsung Electronics).

After a 6 season stay in the top flight, the first under current manager Nisse_Knutsson, Winchester Winkles look to reform after relegating bottom of the league. Bomba FC also are relegated despite being a mainstay of the top tier for the majority of their history (22 out of the last 24 seasons). Both sides are relegated along with lionsroar, who were the best of the bad bunch picking up 22 points and drop down a division after two seasons at the top.

Champions Division 1 Winners: Stoke Ramblers
Champions Division 2 Winners: Peñarol
Conference Winners: Mad Max 11
Amateur Premier Winners: Beverley Tigers
Amateur Lower Winners: Lointown FC

Season 62 - LoC Season
Y.O.L.O once again won the League of Champions, their third consecutive major trophy and seventh in their history. They now become the outright grand master of the League of Champions, with more wins than any other club in the history of the league. FC Banjo & Tiger Lillies (now Samsung Electronics) sit behind them with their 6 wins. Jokito's Y.O.L.O. won the league by a clear 7 points to runners up Chubby Chasers (managed by Sebmatts, that's the clubs highest ever position). Kevinem85's HydePark Hysterics finished 3rd again.

At the other end of the table and after 3 seasons in the top flight which included a Quarter Final place in the CoC, FC Banjo were relegated with 13 points, along with Perak TBG (22 points) who also enjoyed a three season stay in the top tier - their first stint at the top flight. The trio of relegated sides were complete with JoMo United confirming their relegation on the final day and who despite winning 5 in 7 games, lost their final 2 games and drop back to Champions Division 1 immediately.

Champions Division 1 Winners: Peñarol
Champions Division 2 Winners: FC Basel Bears
Conference Winners: Beverley Tigers
Amateur Premier Winners: Lointown FC
Amateur Lower Winners: Dovecastle Diamond

Season 63 - LoC Season
Y.O.L.O you guessed it!? Are winners of the League of Champions, now their fourth consecutive major trophy and further their lead in the all time history books with this being their 8th major trophy. Jokito's Y.O.L.O. won the league, almost without defeat - but a final game loss meant they won the league 5 points clear from runners up HydePark Hysterics. Although Y.O.L.O looked like winning the league for some time it wasn't until at the end of GW20 that it was confirmed, giving the champions a chance to experiment and develop younger players in their final games. Kevinem85's HPH managed to hold of Team Cubanos (managed by BanditTheRacoon) and finish in second place for the first time in 38 seasons, last runners up being back in S25.

Due to S64 being a CoC season no relegations took place, however, Eleven Deadly Venoms, Stoke Ramblers and lionsroar made up the numbers at the other end.

Champions Division 1 Winners: Bomba FC
Champions Division 2 Winners: Beverley Tigers
Conference Winners: Flip Flops
Amateur Premier Winners: Hibernian F.C
Amateur Lower Winners: The Warriors

Season 64 - CoC Season
Y.O.L.O win their second Cup of Champions (and consecutively), making it their fifth title in succession and ninth in all time. The league's all time best side! CoC A group was won by Y.O.L.O with Danish Dream Team, Winchester Winkles and Penarol making it toe the knock our rounds, whilst COC B group was won by Beverley Tigers - their first return to the top flight since their relegation from it back in season 23. Beverley Tigers were followed to the knock out rounds with Team Cubanos, JoMo United & HydePark Hysterics. However, it was Jokito's Y.O.L.O and BanditTheRacoon's Team Cubanos who progressed to the finals, in a repeat of the season 60 final. Once again Y.O.L.O took the honours, this time with a 2-0 win avoiding any revenge.

MID League Winners: Jake the Muss FC & The Eton Rifles
LOW League Winners: Spartans F.C. & S.V. Blauw-Wit

Season 65 - LoC Season
Danish Dream Team knock Jokito's Y.O.L.O off the podium with a bounce back to glory not seen by the club since S38. Thore has rebuilt his squad, promoted the club back up through the divisions (Amateur League in S57) and in their 4th consecutive season in the top flight, Danish Dream Team have pipped Y.O.L.O to the title by 1 point, despite needing a result on the final day of the season and losing - ending Y.O.L.O's 5 consecutive championship winning run. Penarol finished in an isolated 3rd place.

At the other end of the table, Tony Pulis Baseball Cap fell into the relegation places on the final day of the season after losing to their relegation rivals Team Cubanos who leap frogged to safety. Bomba FC (a regular top flight side) were relegated along with Winchester Winkles, despite all sides picking up 18+ points.
