Vito arrange bounce matches |
With there being a delay for the tough league campaign, FC Vitorul attempted to try and address some problematic form issues with a friendly win at home to Il Rossoneri last night. De Salvo rotated his pack: the most notable name on the team sheet being the returning from injury Wayne Wade, in his swansong season. The defender's composure will be much needed for the league campaign where Vito find themselves pitched in with an array of quality sides.
The boss was pleased to see Wade come through unscathed, "Big Wayne has been a miss and we're going to need him for the league - where just to stay up again will be a tough ask.
"On paper, we haven't an earthly against the rest of the division so we will just have to dig deep again to try and stay up. It is pleasing to see us using our aerial threat advantage to great effect. If we can keep getting in the quality crosses, we'll always have a chance."
The manager also confirmed that the club have now concluded their transfer business for the season with the capture of young 18/4 midfielder Antal Fitos last night, "that's the budget gone as well as the training cash - but I like the cut of the lad's jib.
"I'm happy with the balance of the squad and feel we have a decent standard of youth player that we will endeavour to develop whilst attempting to maintain our lofty Division 4 status, which again will be an almighty task in itself."
Vito have arranged another friendly for Monday night, at home to Bajulinhas, as de Salvo tries to keep the squad fresh and attempt to address form concerns on the cheap.
