Super G's manager admits pressure rising
With two days to to go to the start of a new season, the Super G's manager Greyhound admitted the pressure on his position was starting to grow. For three seasons Greyhound has played down his sides chances of promotion and continued to focus on 'building and improving a young squad'. Even though fan's expectations may not be massively high there seems to be a small feeling around the place that if the same is delivered once more it will be met with high amounts of discontent. Greyhound answered the contingent through his pre-season press conference.

'I can feel that we need to start progressing in terms of results to keep the fans happy and to back up the hard work we have done in terms of improving the balance and the quality in the squad. We have a genuine chance of challenging for a top three finish this time around and that has to be the realistic aim for us.'

The G's kick off against one of the other candidates for promotion, KS Gdynia. Greyhound admitted his side's cup win had boosted confidence against a relatively unknown side. 'There are some new teams in this league that we have to figure out quickly, starting with Friday. We proved we can learn what teams are about with our win on tuesday, we need to take that level of intensity in to every game.'

Leeds Utd and Archley Villa are the other teams expected to mount significant challenges and if they all do it could be an exciting season in store in division 7:41. Greyhound also had to calm speculation the club had failed in the transfer market after a close season which has seen no movement so far in or out. 'We have not felt the need to increase our numbers, we have not seen anything that is better than what we have. I have told two players they are free to leave if the right club comes in for them and can offer them more pitch time. If that happens it may free up funds and room to bring in some extra depth.'
