Down But Not Out

A funny sort of night last night. After dominating possession for much of the game and leading by a goal to nil with only two minutes to go it looked as though we were on our way to three points against Falmouth Town, but by the time the final whistle blew we found ourselves pointless and on the wrong end of a 1-2 scoreline. However thanks to division champions FC Soimi Titus 4-1 defeat of Hopeful FC we found out that we had sneaked into second spot ahead of Hopeful FC courtesy of goals scored. So with a game to go we are in the play-off spot and next week we only need to match Hopefuls result to stay in second place. Easier said than done when you then realise that we face the champions on the final day but being at home who knows what could happen.
