Warriors past the point of no return
The Gildan Warriors find themselves 8 games into the season sitting in third place, but the home straight is a winding road and they can't see the sun setting just yet.
Manager Theswantonlad has made no secret of his development plans in the past seasons and this year seems to be competing better than ever before, we spoke to him earlier;
"I said pre season that I was proud of the lads and I felt they were going to be competitive this season, and I was right.
The lads have come on leaps and bounds since I first brought them in and we sit in third place atm with some big big games approaching, we've dropped 4 points to the bottom 2 teams already which we may come to regret but the past is behind us. We've lost both our first games against the top 2 and if we are to gain promotion this season we need to beat them in the return legs!
As like last season we are hitting the target at the other end but this season we've been holding out a lot tighter at the back which I saw was our main problem pre season, were currently league top scorers which will hopefully help in the coming games as we really need to score against these big teams.
No matter what the next 6 games hold. When the final whistle blows I will know that every one of the lads have given it everything they have and if were there then we are there."
