Into the Semi Finals!

Balka Juniors XIV yesterday took an edgy, but overall deserved, victory over SG Maistro to earn their place in the semi-finals of the Xpert League Cup. 'A fantastic performance by our guys' said manager LukeFM. 'When we saw that one of their eleven first-team players was set to miss the match through injury, we knew we had a chance'. 'I think 5 Balka players set personal best performances. Over the moon'. The XIV have been drawn against the side currently sitting in 4th in the league's very top Division, and the Cup's reigning Champions, Folklore Flamenco. 'Another tough, tough game, but again I believe it's winnable' said LukeFM. We're in great form, and our squads are evenly matched. We're daring to believe'. In the league side of things, Division 3d would appear to have become a two-horse race, with Trumpton seeing off Kung Fu Hustle 3-2. 'There's a lot of talk of lube in this Division at the moment, and we're going to get caught up in it' he said of the remaining three fixtures. 'But it's the same for Trumpton, and we've got an extra home game'. 'So we're still confident.
