A really good season for Flying Saucer Attack was capped off tonight with three points that saw the boys in blue gain automatic promotion out of Division 4i for the first time in the club's history.
We didn't play all that well tonight at Area 51 vs Home Guard Utd, but we did enough to win 2-0 to maintain our now unassailable 4 points lead at the top over Stirlingshire.
Overall we have played well this season, there have been commanding wins and at times we have dug out the points when necessary.
Saucers Manager Paddysh faced the assembled shitehawks from the press after the match and said:
"I'm delighted for the lads, we have a close squad, they are experienced and many have been here for many seasons. They deserve the cheers they are getting from the fans. To go 13 games unbeaten in what is a difficult division is good going. I'm pleased we have sealed promotion with a game remaining, it means they can go out and enjoy it next week away at ProViva without the pressure."
Can the Saucers go undefeated through the league campaign? They will most certainly be trying.
