I remember last season when I won the playoff game, I was just happy to get to play in the top division and told myself I was gonna enjoy every minute playing in it. The two previous seasons I had finished second in Division 1 and, as mentioned, only got promoted via the playoffs. I knew things would only get harder so, if anything, I expected a relegation battle. Maybe I didn’t realize quite how strong my team was but to go straight in here, up against these great teams and managers and win the title in my first ever season in the top division?! It’s just crazy! Unbelievable!
Never ever could I imagine my careless spending spree (I was planning to quit and just wanted to spend the money I had collected for so long) two years ago would take me all the way to the league title; winning both games against the reigning champions Bolt Thrower and fending off four times XCL-winners and five times league-winners TheAntiChrists in the process! An amazing end to the most exciting season of my X11-career and an amazing journey! To win a league title in an xpert league, after nine years playing the game, really is a dream!
Next season we, The Corleone Family, have a great adventure ahead of us in the Xpert Champions League and it will be very interesting to see how we stand against all the greatest teams the xpert leagues has to offer! We’re very much looking forward to it and, like this season, we will enjoy every minute being there; doing our best in each game and see where we end up!
