Can't teach an old dog... |
The DinhoLocos supporters weren't too happy when their manager of 5 years, Holst7 called time on his time at the club and left after years of developing the team. Jaded supporters, saw their team face their last season with player performances sinking to new depths and a disappointing lack of progress amongst the team that had show so much promise.
The board promised changes, a new boss with vibrant, love attacking football and buy every player you want!
Instead, a couple of days ago, the jaded fans were shocked to see not a young manager but an old veteran (in xpert eleven terms) by the name of Tiggyjosh. The manager was reportedly shocked to walk through the door too, but we can neither confirm or deny those rumours.
'Holst was a great and loyal manager for the club,' said Tiggy to those that bothered to stay for the press conference, 'this team can bounce back from last season's disappointing season and change report, there will be some comings and goings this season and fans can expect some changes to playing style too'.
So, as Tiggy settles into a new role, today marks a milestone for Tiggy in xpert terms. Today, Tiggy collected ten, not pints, but ten years on this game.
To switch to first person, as I feel reflective, I've seen many changes, played many games, managed in the top flight of two xpert leagues and most of all spoken with some great people. Thanks to all those who have shared a mail conversation, who I've shared a league with or humoured me by playing in Master League competitions.
Thanks to the I.W Prem for being simply great and to La Liga Rapido for reminding me how great private leagues can be. Also, thanks to all those involved with them and the other leagues I am a part of.
Thanks to xpert for creating a game that captures many an imagination and keeps us all coming back :).
Thanks guys!
