Remember the Tanites of 43

Years from now, the Tanite faithful will have a seemingly fairytale story to tell to their offsprings' offspring. It will be the tale of the Tanites 43, the FC Tanon team that snatched survival from the jaws of death. After being in the relegation zone for most of the season, Keithsiah's men finally made their epic revival secured with a 0-0 draw against Honda EX5 FC as Fc Urziceni fell at home to Eleven Dwarfs. It was the result that confirmed FC Tanon as a Division 5 team for the following season, and it is the result, along with two others, that will be remembered for years to come amongst their loyal fans. The other two results being the 2-0 away victory against then-league leaders Gogosile, and the 4-0 trashing of FC Urziceni that pushed them into 5th. Manager Keithsiah could barely believe what his team had achieved. "It's insane isn't it? We shouldn't be in this division next season after the stuttering start we had. But we are. And I couldn't be more proud of this team. Football is like that sometimes," said the ecstatic manager who was soaking in champagne. Of course, Tanon would hope to avoid such dramatic stuff next season as they will begin their quest for survival all over again. Already its looking like a challenge as Eduardo Amador retires and the bulk of creative load is placed on Rolv Stensland unless Keithsiah finds a diamond in the transfer market. But for now, the Tanites players shall enjoy their moment of glory with their fans on a week to truly remember.
