It's been a long, long road for the XIV but they have finally made it. After finishing 8th out of 8 in Division 8 in his first season in charge of the team then known as Västerås Citroner, a complete 200 million econ rebuild by manager LukeFM in September 2011 resulted in 6 consecutive promotions, and now the League title at the first time of asking, with two games left to play. 'We weren't expecting to wrap it up this round, so this has come as quite a surprise' said LukeFM en route back to the Avenue de L'ol. 'But it's a great feeling, there are some top teams and managers in this league and we've been made to work for it'. Asked what comes next for his side, he said 'We can relax for the final two games, tone down the win bonuses and just play whoever needs the game time. But we're already thinking of next season, there's a few years left in the old dogs yet and we want to have a good crack at the XCL'.
