The Fifth Column
Division 4o, Power League
Manager: Woodstock11
The climb back up has begun!
Or so it seems as The Fifth Column promotes back to division 4 after an intense and thrilling playoff match against Man U. Promotion is a big deal as the road to the higher divisions is a difficult one, full of tough opponents and with a team always trying to manage to keep things in balance.

The balance turned last season for the Five Points club. After being in division 2 for some seasons, almost all veterans and more skilled and experienced players were to leave and young eager talents replaced them. What followed were three relegations with the main focus only on development.

With a bit more age, albeit only 22 years on average, The Fifth Column managed to pull off the impossible finishing second in the fifth division. The playoff match was a nervous one with both teams not wanting to give anything away. The stange thing occured when Man U got to play a large part with ten men having defender Connor Lewis injured after three substitutes were already made.

The Fifth Column gained possesion and the upper hand, but even after 120 minutes the teams were not to be separated. The lottery of penalties would be the decider, and hopes were low for the avid Dead Rabbits and Bowery Boys fans rooting for their favorites. They had been here before and mostly with the wrong outcome. Yet with striker Ramon Salgado putting the 12th penalty in the back of the net The Fifth Column won the game and won promotion!

"We still can not believe what happened in the Xpert Arena", said captain Ethan Hunt all smiles to our reporter, "we knew this was a long shot and yet our effort struck gold like finding it under the rainbow. It really is awesome achieving  it with this lot. I have been with the club for almost 20 seasons now, well I hope to make that number anyway, and have seen it all. Celebrated division titles, but seeing our young age this probably is our greatest achievement to date."

Its all festivities in The Five Points. Whilst the squad normally resides for their vacation in the all sunny and enjoyable island that is Alcatraz; at this time between the seasons they decided to stay home and celebrate with the fans,  whom truly deserve victory after some seasons where losses were more common.

Promotion is one thing and The Fifth Column for sure is looking to go back up further, but for now development is key to ensure this. And if promotion did not cause for much celebration already the Change Report added more. Over twenty bars were added to the squad.

The team looks awesome to be honest, and if the club to manages to get the finances in check the future looks all sunny. Some players are put on the transfer market as some changes are inevitable; then next season in division 4 will commence where The Fifth Column hopefully can do well and at least finish mid table.
