Fabby to quit (as reporter)

"It is with regret that I announce my resignation as Chief of Staff for the Xpert Daily. After over 7 years as a reporter, joining the team just prior to my fifteenth birthday, it is now time to step down."

That was the message announced by Dwong manager Fabbyulous today, shortly before adding, "my future as manager of Dwong Athletic is yet undecided".

The future of Fabbyulous has been under speculation all season thanks to a below-par season in charge of Dwong Athletic, where the team have won just twice in the league all season, were knocked out of the cup by Rangers despite withholding a 2-0 lead, and with Fabby's time becoming more and more limited at the helm of the Division 1 team.

The announcement that he is to step down as a reporter is not a huge shock, a position Fabbyulous has held down for some time and combining that with seven day working weeks was never going to be easy. He went on to explain his decision.

"I no longer have the time available to dedicate myself to this role which is a shame as I really wanted to make a good go of it having been appointed Chief of Staff for a second time."

"I would just like to say the reporters, both past and present at the Daily, deserve a lot of credit and appreciation. Throughout my time at the Daily they have only ever given their best and have constantly tried to give their time to provide quality articles to the readers, as well as publish the best of the press releases from xpertland."

"I've worked with four other Chiefs - Jimbo, Colin, Robster and Celtic - and all four were brilliant in the way they helped shape the Daily to provide the most cutting of articles. Robster in particular - I do not think I have ever worked with anyone as driven as him to improving anything. He was such a great worker and his articles always brought hundreds upon hundreds of reviews, he was that good a writer. The best I have worked with."

"Every other reporter I have worked with over time have been just as indispensable to the team. From Doom to Drew through the two ladies - Eve and Tiggy - there was Bejjita, Rbjayb, Dave, Cricket and more, right through to the present day with the likes of Tony, Adam, APERSON and Gago amongst others. I have huge respect and admiration for all of them and the job they did."

"Finally, just as a precursor, these are my top fives throughout my time as a reporter."

"Top five people to interview (in no particular order): Bromis, GRASSBANDITS, Murdoch11, SambaSven, Sommers."

"Top five managers to have played the game (in no particular order): Nobego, ShadowsDT, Bromis, Gunnar, Duffster."

"Best five teams ever witnessed on the game (in no particular order): Smogens IF, SparkaSpring FC, Stiinta U Craiova, The AntiChrists, KBM Whitsunday."

"Favourite ever Xpert Champions League results (in no particular order): South Hooligans 2-0 Stiinta U Craiova (4-3 on aggregate), West Ham Boys 5-0 Amcik FC (5-2 on aggregate), PF Stratocasters 3-1 Gardenia (4-4 on aggregate, PF Stratocasters won on penalties), C.F Braila 4-3 Hogsbo IF, LISBOA F.C. 0-1 Skeninge IK."
