Babs Gaffa Makes Good on Promise of XCL Return Inside 3 Seasons Although it is not the route we planned on taking, we have, once again got there via winning the cup. Believing that by this season we would win the master league, today's top display in the cup final against CCCP has salvaged an otherwise failed season following a disasterous league campaign. The repeat of the cup final played out three seasons ago between the same two clubs saw disappointed players from the first final make the most of this one. Playmaker Prats put us in to a 12th minute lead thanks to an assist from Cecil Marks who was left out of the previous final, and striker Sergio Ramirez, suspended that day made amenze in the dying moments today by ending all doubt and winning the final and securing XCL football once again. Our maiden voyage in to the unknown world of XCL football came by surprise last time but it was a great adventure that ended by way of a penalty shoot-out defeat to Chrillemeister in the semi-finals. We are supposedly better and more experienced now so we hope that translates on the pitch, but there are formiddable teams out there including the one that knocked us out last time out so it is a huge challenge.
