Bogey team finally picked

From knocking us out of the cup two seasons ago to then join us in the Master league and inflict yet more suffering by single-handedly ending any remaining title hopes we harboured last season, Goal FC have been a constant thorn in our side. On the first day of the new year though we obviously recovered from the night before a little better than our opponents but it was a very nervy tense afternoon that ended in a narrow victory. Back in the XCL MIdweek we rejoined the top table of X11 in the XCL and got away with a 1-1 draw at Extreme. Due to two defenders being out, it presented an incredible opportunity for 16 year old defender Sten Åke Hellberg who, in only his 2nd ever professional football match, found himself playing on the most prestigious of X11 stages. Already a little in the clouds at signing for a Master League club at just 16, he could hardly have expected it to get that much better in only his first week in the job. He clearly needs a little PR training though, as during a post match interview he clumsily admitted what we all understand deep down as he described the immense joy he felt as he realised that his new defensive partner Di Vaio would miss the game through injury as well as Almante being suspended and what that meant.
