Huff Town won their title decider against AFC Star Wars to complete a feat that few managers achieve - promotion up through the entire league structure from bottom to top.
6 years ago, the newly formed Huff Town played their first match in division 8 (yes, there was a division 8 back in those days). They won the league that season and progressed up the leagues, slowly at first, with a wobble as they were relegated from division 5.
After 14 seasons, Huff hit a real purple patch, winning division 5 and winning the divisions twice more in the next 3 seasons. It took a few seasons to get out of division 2, which Huff managed via the play offs.
Which takes us all the way up to this season, Huff's 21st season, in division 1. It was a really tight league with no outstanding teams, but Huff managed great results against the other top 4 sides which was enough to win the league.
So next season we take on the Pro League and it will surely be a relegation battle, looking at the strength of the other sides. But maybe, just maybe, one day we can go all the way and become champions of the entire Pro League.
