Normally it's hard to justify such a comment - ONLY 7-0. But with our opponent for the day suffering from not only a lack of players, but also the ones that actually did play not playing in their right spot, my hope was that we would have been able to score a record (for us) high 8 goals in one game.
That was not the case. Classic 7-0 win in the end, which of course isn't a bad thing, when firing only 9 shots. Suppose I should be happy, and just move on... But I expect 8 goals when they come to Atlin next week!
As for the league, we were quickly taken down from the clouds on which we were floating there for a while. A sweet winning streak. Strong away win against the division strongest team. But it all fell flat at home this past weekend when we hosted Arsenal1.
Although the game was never really out of our reach, we never got close after their early 0-1 after only 6 minutes played. We couldn't quite recover from that minor shock, and in the end they won clearly, and well deserved - 0-2. Bummer for us.
But now we look forward to an easy league game - at home against But Masters; a team going through generational shift. They should not be a threat for us, right now, and I expect a clear win. Give them a few seasons though, and we'll see... They have a very promising young team, and I betcha in ten or so seasons, they'll be right up at the top of the system fighting for glory.
