Totti win promotion to division 4!
Most FC Totti United Ronaldo fans were set on getting ready for another nerve-wracking playoff game (it would've been the third straight playoff game for promotion for Totti, having finished 2nd in both Season 42 and 43 as well), but a surprising thrashing of title contenders Sigtuna BK by Team Arsenal FC helped Totti secure the promotion spot.

Prior to the 14th round of the season, FC Totti United Ronaldo were sitting at 2nd place in the division at 29 points, while Sigtuna BK had a 2 point advantage at 31 points. Totti were to play Banter FC away, while Sigtuna had a tough away game against Team Arsenal FC.

Totti more or less dominated Banter FC, but struggled to score a goal. Things did not look any more promising when 19-year-old midfielder and troublemaker Harry Sloan saw a straight red card after having only been on the pitch for 2 (!) minutes. This was Sloan's 4th red card in only 33 Totti appearances. Totti manager BarryHero looked no way near happy when the young Sloan slowly walked off the field.

The score was still 0-0 when Totti midfielder Geraldo dos Santos swang in a beautiful cross, which incoming substitute Pelle Josefsson headed in behind Banter's goalkeeper Vasilios Triantafillou. The Totti players thought they had secured the three points already, as Banter had created nothing of value so far - they hadn't even had a shot on goal - while Totti were up 6-0 in chances. However, only 9 minutes later, Banter's only goal chance of the game came about. Davy Lawson of Banter FC was able to find Andre Partell in the penalty area, who fired at once. Jakob Soderstrom in the Totti goal stood no chance, and 1-1 was a fact.

Desperate to score a winning goal, FC Totti United Ronaldo pushed forward, which proved to be a successful move. In the 88th minute, Geraldo dos Santos was again able to swing in a beautiful cross into the penalty area, which this time found goal machine Charles Svanstrom - who had no problems heading the ball into the net behind Banter's hardworking goalkeeper. This was Charles Svanstrom's 10th league goal of the season, which is the most goals anyone has scored in Division 5:6 this season. Striker partner Erik Hammar finished up the season with an impressive 8 league goals in 14 games.

As soon as the final whistle blew at Totti arena the players and coaching staff were let known that Team Arsenal FC had managed to beat Sigtuna 4-0 at home, which meant that Sigtuna dropped down to 2nd place and Totti win promotion!

Season 45 of the Dream League will be the first time FC Totti United Ronaldo plays in Division 4, and also the first time manager BarryHero coaches at that level.
