Heartbreaking season
This group of players has accomplished a lot, and to that I am extremely thankful. We climbed up the divisions and made it all the way to the Classic League Top Flight. We had a good team but competition was tough so fans weren't expecting too much; yet things went better than expected.

After winning Division 2 and Division 1 in back-to-back seasons, fan were thrilled to see their club finally debut in the Classic League Top Flight. The expectations were simple, avoid relegation. We somehow managed to pull off an excellent first season and claimed the Classic League title to everyone's surprise at the club.

We then hoped to remain competitive as we competed in three competitions. Unfortunately, we suffered a group stage exit in the XCL. We only lost one game yet lost on goals scored which was one of the most heartbreaking results for the club. Despite that, we still managed to remain competitive in the league race.

After winning the league, we finished third place in the following two seasons and then finished second place. As the team gathered at the start of the season, everyone knew the end of an era was approaching. The squad was reaching the end of its peak and the players wanted to deliver one final title.

With the league title out of the question, we were far from the best team in the league; the focus turned to the Classic League Cup. It was a title we had failed to win and one we had struggled horrendously to make even a half-decent run.

We decided this would be our main focus. We played some of our best football in the competition and made it all the way to the final. As we prepared for the Classic League Cup final, the players were ready to give everything in that final game.

It was devastating when we saw our dream end. We lost in penalty kicks after being the better side and even playing part of the final a man up. The players put in a great effort, but sadly things did not work out.

The change report will be very good, as DV was excellent, however, with most players approaching their mid-thirties, the time has come for the era to end. It was an amazing time, but it is time for a new generation of players to come through the ranks. The offseason will be a difficult one as many older players will be sold off an a new generation of younger players are brought through.

It has been an honor to have been apart of this generation of players and they have accomplished an amazing amount, sadly every good thing must come to an end...and for us this is the end of an era, but with the hope that the future will remain even brighter.
