The world's media converged on Estadio Lucifer for the Xpert League season opener between last season's champions and runners up.

Matchstick Men manager Tony Brazil welcomed all to the event but promised nothing, "I promise nothing spectacular today. We will do our best but the match will probably end nil-nil."

In the media room after the match, Brazil speaks to a sparse audience, "nil-nil. Sorry about that. I hoped for more but Vecchie's manager seems quite happy as he told me he would take this start to the season. Our goalkeeper got the man of the match which may set a worrying trend of low conceding and low scoring.

"It is good to see the media here today and football is not just all about goals is it?" Brazil is speaking to an empty room. For the media, it IS all about goals.
