| Strong start for the new manager |
Recently EXT Massacre super coach, CARL-ISLE, left the club for new adventures and in came Erik_97. Erik previously coached division 3 side, Tenacious D, in Golden League and felt that he had reach the teams peak a bit too early and his time in the club he had been with for 17 seasons were over.
He took over EXT Massacre with great passion and an even greater pressure. The team who won the Power League as late as two seasons ago and recently won division 2c, so to say the least, the expectations from the fans were huge.
Pre-Erik_97, EXT Massacre had played seven games in division 1b and are currently placed four with two wins away from the table top A.C.R.D. Carenque. But before Erik_97s first league match, he had to overcome a 1-1 draw at home in the Power League Cup.
Last week, Athletico Mákidd, located in Power League, played against a EXT Massacre without a manager. The game ended 1-1 after 90 minutes with a lot of goal opportunities, and a slight advantage for the Power League side.
But just one hour ago, in Erik_97 first game as manager for EXT Massacre, Athletico were defeated with 0-2 at Athletico Mákidd Arena. That means that EXT Massacre wins the cup round and proceeds to the next round.
Next game is away against bottom placed MFC on thursday and we desperatly need a win here to reach a top placement in the division.
