Melton Tempest secured a well earned 2-1 victory against Five Stars Athletics at the Municipal das Lesoes to continue their bright early season form. Slavic speedster Mikhail Shokhin opened the scoring with an audacious long range chip over the despairing Cedric Kennedy after just ten minutes. The Russian certainly seems to have settled quickly at his new club, having scored five goals in his first three games. The Tempest manager will have been concerned with how his team started the second half. The away side's heads appeared to still be in the dressing room when Sam Berkeley headed home an Adelmar Biglia cross.  The Bronze and Gold's continued to dominate the game after the equaliser and eventually made the breakthrough just after the hour mark. Man of the match, Shokhin, found Dick Mayall in the box and "Postie" delivered to clinch a narrow win.
