Penalties still haunt the Red Hawks
Dulwich Dynamo (nicknamed the Red Hawks) played out their first ever Power League division tie at home against the league runners up of last season, REAL BLÅVITT.

The Red Hawks' manager Kevin came away from the game bitterly disappointed with only 1 point and no goals to show for the side's attacking display.

"I think we got most things right in the game but we couldn't capitalise on our advantages. This season is going to be a real challenge as we're up against the very best of the Power League and if we find ourselves in a position where we're actually playing better than our opponents then we really need to make sure we come away with the points as we might not get too many opportunities. Having said that Blavitt are going to be up there this season and the fact we put that level of performance against them shows that we can more than compete. We can't get carried away by a 0-0 draw at home but it bodes well."

These two sides have now met twice. Once in the Power Cup in season 56 before yesterday's encounter. In that game Real Blavitt went through to the 6th Round after a tense penalty shoot out, before going on to win the competition. Jez Dixon scored an equalising penalty during 90mins for Dulwich before missing the first in the shoot out. Unfortunately Jez Dixon skewed his penalty in the league encounter yesterday, making it just 1 penalty scored in 3 against Real Blavitt in just matches.

"Jez is a legend at this club. It's great he gets to spend the end of his career at the very top where he belongs. I can't be too upset with him with the penalty miss today as he's spent his career getting us out of holes and assisting/scoring winning goals in key promotional matches so we're here now partly because of him. We move on to our next games and hope to push on."
