Wychwood Forest
Division 5:21, Super League
Manager: Philisco
Promotion for Forest
Wychwood Forest prevailed against FC Sull to gain promotion to Division 5. In what was a very close game, and with a goal disallowed on both sides, the boys from the Cotswolds came through. We spoke to an elated Philisco after the game.

"You must be absolutely delighted with todays results?"

"This is an incredible day for the club, we came close to the playoffs last season but it wasn't to be, this year we have proved what we can do. This group of lads have gone above and beyond what anybody expected of them."

"You must have thought it was all over when Jeffrey Webb went off injured after 16 minutes?"

"Look, Jeffrey is an incredible player, he has been top scorer in the league for the last two seasons but what his injury proved was that we have the strength in depth. Naoise O'Leary hasn't played much this season but his form in training, his commitment and passion has been exceptional, that's why I put him on and he played the game of his life. It's a shame his goal was disallowed as he truly deserved it. But Jeffreys injury also showed what a complete team we are, we have regularly scored goals from across the park and Chin Woo stepped up and made his chance count."

"You really have made a difference to the club since you returned to Xpert Eleven football management, you must feel vindicated to get involved again?"

"Ten years away was a long time but I needed that break, its great to be back and my desire has never been stronger. Seeing the fans celebrate like they are makes this all worthwhile."

Philisco getting quite emotional at the end of that interview there, truly a great day for Wychwood Forest.
