MMFC v TaGiorni - High Noon at End.
In a run-up to Div 6:44's biggest match of the season, next Monday, the battle takes place at Mancunian Maniac FC home venue, Stretford End. It will spell the end for either team, Mancunian Maniac FC or Ta Giorni f.c. These two teams have done battle since the last season and in a tradition worthy of coverage we bring you the write-up to the biggest battle yet seen.

Ta Giorni has played MMFC 3 times and on 3 occasions have come up second best. This time round, they would want to turn the tables on the homesters and get one better of them and what better way than to put them out of automatic promotion by silencing them in front of their home crowd. It is not impossible really as the homesters have struggled to put up a decent show at home all season.

Ta Giorni has great talent across the board from goalkeeper, Ermo Ibrim, ably assisted by Dallas Olson and Nijaz Siric in the middle and Mensur Hadziosmanovic and Faruk Zjajo down the left and right back respectively. While in the middle they threaten incessantly with great displays all season by Suca Manciuc, Orhan Muhic, Senad Aganovic, Anes Avdikovic, Hugh Rush and their playmaker extraordinaire Semir Mejrisic. Indeed not many teams can match TaGiorni in the middle of the park. Yet, their most awesome lies in their forwardline with Sinan Cergic, Sead Poljo and this season's top undisputed golden boot winner, Miralem Avdic, no one can deny that this team score goals for fun.

That aside, MMFC meanwhile parade a decent goalie in Zacharias Moran who at 32 is not showing the same verve as his counterpart Ibrim. At the back where MMFC actually excel, they can always count on seasoned campaigner, Samson Tracey, Jason Swan, this season's Div 6:44 MVP, Kristofer Bynkvik while they will be missing Geoff Oatway through suspension and James Elvinsson (calf injury). But they still have Martyn Finnan deputising for Oatway.

In the middle, MMFC will rely on eccentric Noel Ohlund, Sid Wicks, Dustin Southall, James Finney and young playmaker Bob Horne. A pale shadow really as compared to Mejrisic, Avdikovic and Manciuc. They will have their work cut out trying to outfox the prowess of Ta Giorni.

Upfront, without Neil Jeffers (suspension), MMFC may look short of experience as they will have to count on the rather unreliable Glyn Sheen to score. Even Jeffers was woeful last time out at Kabul Stadium. The players on reserves will be youngsters Ioan Cuc and Troy Trabbart, both who has not really shone this season despite it being their second.

So on paper it is Ta Giorni's game for the taking unless MMFC can find some miracle in them to stop marauding Avdic and Poljo. Then again if the defense of MMFC holds true and frustrate the duo, MMFC may just have the chance.
