Dinner Ladies shocked the home crowd just three minutes in when Lorna Fonk converted inside the box after a smart assist from Martina Trapani. Despite Cloppenburg dominating possession, they struggled to break down a well-organised Dinner Ladies' defence and went into the break trailing 0-1.
Cloppenburg made key substitutions early in the second half, bringing on Vibeke Falke and Josefin Ekarna to inject energy into midfield. The breakthrough came in the 73rd minute-Graciela Felipe pounced on a loose ball and slotted home to level the match, set up by a sharp low cross from Dagmar Schenk.
Just four minutes later, the home side were gifted a winner. Martina Trapani, who had assisted the opener, accidentally redirected the ball into her own net under pressure, handing Cloppenburg a 2-1 lead they would not relinquish.
