In an unprecedented move earlier today, Janes Addiction Manager LFC73 successfully bought in young 23/12 defender Ingebjorg Stenslid for slightly over market value, but maintains that she could end up being a major bargain in the long run!
"Despite her somewhat fair compatibility with the rest of the squad, she arrived in very good condition, and although I know that she just recently double jumped, I am hopeful that this will lead to some decent progression over the next few seasons if she shows the promise that I desire.
"Her leadership skills were the main attraction to me initially, and with time and progression she will hopefully be our leader into the next stage of the club. I needed to add a little solidity into our fledgling backline which may need some tweaking over the next few seasons, so I am hopeful that this will be the beginning of that process!
"The earlier purchase of a mentor Forward has left us a little top heavy overall on our squad numbers, and whilst this will provide a bit of a headache to allocate decent game time to everyone, I just hope that it gives us decent options as we look to move forward.
"I can't say that we will be strong challengers to get out of Division 6 this coming season, but perhaps with this flexibility amongst the squad we may be competitive!
"Time will tell, and whilst we have blown a little bit of money through this latest transfer window, the fans can be rest assured that we will be concentrating first and foremost on training and development of ALL of the younger members of our squad as we look to move ahead for the future!"
