Up against it in cup
After dropping out of the XCL, South Hooligans' morale (and form!) took quite a hit despite our players and fans all knowing we were using the XCL just for DV purposes. This will take a bit to overcome now, and it came back to haunt us in the cup...
We went into our fourth round cup clash against Zachary Allstars confident of a good result being at home, however the boys were just rusty. More of the ball and more chances, but we never looked like scoring. The 0-0 result is far from ideal, and we're really going to be up against it now with a positive result needed on the road next week in the second leg.
Although we are on top of the 2b table for now, on current form, that will end this week. We have now only won 1 out of our last 6 competitive games, and incredibly, we've also only scored in 1 of them too - this is a run of horrible form! We just can't score.
We face Big Brown Bears this Sunday in a top-of-the-table clash, and we just don't think we have any chance...
