Newpark FC, as expected, progressed in the Cup last Friday, beating Frankston 5-0 (10-0 on agg).
As in the first leg game Wd's side suffered yet another horror injury to one of their midfielders meaning they were struggling for experience and hoping that such shocking bad luck would not kybosh their League aspirations so early in the season.
However, despite having 2 youngsters in midfield, Newpark battled hard for a home point in a 0-0 draw against Dark Horses.
Next up a an away 3rd round Cup game away at Division 5 side Teller Morrow FC.
