Celtic fail to trump United
Gwernfadog United scored a late equaliser against the run of play to earn a point at home to Trumpton Celtic.
"It was our worst performance of the season. They defensively planned against our tactics and used a new formation which we were unprepared for. They won the possession battle and dominated the chances in a game in which they should have run away with.
Their only downfall was that they tried to be overly physical with a harsh referee. It eventually went in our favour when he awarded us with a penalty, which our keeper of all people took and put away!"
The result keeps United top of the league at the halfway point of the season.
Next up, they play in the second leg of the cup on Friday currently 4-0 up on aggregate.
