One Hand on the Trophy!
Boro's Barmy Army won their penultimate game of the season, 5-1 against Crombie Town.
Goals from Loofman, bagging a hatrick and then supplemented with goals from de Cunha and Phillips.
There have been a lot of positives from this season, sitting top of the league for it all has been the top marker but their development of the young players is looking very well, barring one.
Curtis Phillips, the youth prospect who joined during the season, is sitting with a minus. This was always a "see how it goes" deal due to the late nature of his call up.
"I'm gutted for Curtis, but also pleased, he had a great game, scoring one and assisting another, is a great return for a defender! However, with his DV sitting at -2, it's looking likely he won't shift up a skill level, he may even go backwards which will not be good.
He always had potential but it want brought to my attention until it was maybe too late?"
One more game to go, the Barmy Army are in pole position to win the league. Even if they get beat by their counterparts, FC Loosers, they should still win the league due to their +49 goal differential. FC Loosers have +24 so is it likely the Boro are going to lose 25-0? Highly unlikely...
It's been a great season, let's get the rewards for it....
