Darlington Steam continue their impressive run this season, securing a commanding 3-0 win over Milton Rovers to keep the pressure on league leaders, The Whipping Boys. Goals from McGuinnes, Rautavaara, and the in-form youth sensation Lincoln Torquey sealed the victory, with Torquey adding to his remarkable tally of 4 goals and 2 assists in just 3 games.
Since earning promotion, the Steam train has shown no signs of slowing down. Now at the halfway point of the season, Darlington Steam sit comfortably in second place, just three points behind the leaders.
A crucial fixture looms as the Steam prepare to face third-placed Rising Stars, who sit level on points with Darlington. With the league proving fiercely competitive this season, every match could be a game-changer, and the title race remains wide open.
Team manager Dazzler1703 shared his thoughts on the season so far:
