1.FC Bär today launched a charm offensive in the local community, envious of the 500k windfall donated to Division 7:115 rivals Robbs Rovers by an anonymous fan. In an attempt to shake off his aloof reputation and raise some funds, manager Davpleat went busking in the vicinity of the club's Ziegengraben stadium this Sunday afternoon yet not one passer-by recognised him. To add insult to injury, a combination of dramatic recent ticket price hikes and the rawness of their recent cup exit meant that locals were in a less than generous mood in any case. The club ended the day breaking even, using the day's takings to pay the musical instrument hire bill.
