Trinity FC moved back into first place in Division 6:63 with a solid 3-1 win over yenilmezler while Paja Lasek suffered a heavy 6-1 loss at Ogrimmar Revellers. The Eagles scored two goals in the space of five first-half minutes as Xing Chi Ta set up Alferes from a set piece in the 25th minute before Paganini met Hoult's cross and headed past Ludden to make it 2-0 in the 29th minute. Alferes scored his second and Trinity's third on the hour mark as he received the ball from Hoult and whipped a shot into the bottom corner from long range. However, the visitors would score a consolation goal in the 89th minute as Roos crossed for Evaristo to flick a header past Haspolatli.
"We're happy with a win," said Potemy after the match. "It could easily have been a landslide victory, 6-0 or more, but we decided to leave both Sistek and Sharples on the bench in preparation for next season after their retirements. I must say, the squad looks ready to cope without them next season."
Trinity FC also parted ways with free agents Moreia and Edmundsson today to make room to register Ender Öztürk and Golan Yaffe in the squad. The two youth academy graduates, a forward and defender respectively, have been promoted as the Eagles look to sustain their promotion challenge. At only 16 years of age, Öztürk has amazing potential and will add stamina and a powerful shot to Trinity's front line.
At the other end of the pitch, the 18-year-old Yaffe does not boast the raw talent of Öztürk, but boasts an astounding range of qualities that appealed to Potemy, including mental composure, excellent reading of the game, and a powerful shot. Comfortable playing across the defence, Yaffe has also played further up the pitch for the youth team, his qualities making him an excellent midfielder, able to control the tempo of the game and threaten from distance, and also a deadly forward, able to find ways past the defence and finishing powerfully. His exploits further up the pitch have drawn comparisons with players such as Pirlo and Scholes, and Ibrahimovic, though he is flamboyant and has been criticised for diving in the past. However, the player himself sees his long-term position in defence.
Trinity next host Dakay FC, and will look to pull away from their competitors.
