Hapoel United
Division 4o, Classic League
Manager: Gago_94
Strong showing
In the first game in Division 3g DC Marvel Shadows were looking to make a strong impression. Marvel Shadows have only been in Division 3 in one other season, Season 30. The side finished 7th place and have slowly been making their way up the divisions since then.

The fans were excited to see the club play and hopefully reach new heights this season and 35,000 Justice Avengers packed the DC Marvel Universe Stadium to support their club.

Expectations were high and the team did not disappoint. In the 8th minute midfielder Karl-Petter Wall-Enberg took a shot from just inside the box to give Marvel Shadows a lead, only to have his goal disallowed for a doubtful offside. Marvel Shadows kept the pressure on though and hit the post on a header only a few minutes later.

The players were frustrated coming so close to scoring but being denied twice, however, Retu Lappalainen finally broke the deadlock for sure in the 13th minute with a beautiful flicked header from a Joey Parsons cross. Retu Lappalainen took on the role as the playmaker for the game and didn't let Gago_94 down as he scored the opening goal to give the team a much deserved lead.

Marvel Shadows did take their foot off the gas though as ghjh reacted well to going down a goal with several chances, even forcing a world class save from keeper Neuville. Marvel Shadows went into the half winning 1-0 but the game was far from over,

ghjh continued to keep the pressure on to start the second half but Marvel Shadows defended well, though the one goal lead didn't appear to be enough to secure all three points. Thankfully, one of the most loved players on the team, Joey Parsons, sealed the win for the home side with a well placed header in the 82nd minute. The 2-0 win was more than deserved for DC Marvel Shadows and the club made their mark on the first game in Division 3 in ten seasons.

The club look to continue their strong form and keep the good results coming as they have Carolina Sunday FC in the start of a tough league run which sees Marvel Shadows play three straight league games on the road. It will be a high test of character for the club who look to push for promotion.
