Big news was coming out of the Social Justice Warriors camp last week with the GOAT chrille leaving the site after yet another XCL triumph. The search for a new manager went on for a few days, but it was not on the 1st of April that a decision was made. It was one day before and now, one day after, the official presentation. No joke!
Taking over is a man from Austria, who played with chrille a few years in various leagues, but never faced the big man in the official part of the game.
Moving on, here are some thoughts to start us all off:
"It's great to be here at a side at its height. The best team in the whole of X11 after two XCL wins on the bounce. I really hope to add to that, but this might be quite a long ride...
"What can I say about the team? It was once built by one controversial GOAT to then be taken over by his arch-enemy, maybe the real GOAT of X11. Players at 19 or even 20 skill bars do tell a story, I guess, even though controversy followed him around as well. After all that action, maybe I'm the Normal One, if you like...
"The real richness is not the team, though, it's looking at the inside of chrille and his tactical nous. The man, who often dominated other teams, is gone, but even after eleven years on this site, I might learn a whole new dimension of it.
"The next targets are kinda easy: we do have one or two more seasons at the very top, where we will try to win as much as possible. Maybe I can lead the lads to XCL glory, which would be a real bonus after the horribly unlucky spells I had with my former Classic League side. But we shall see - after all, I haven't been here for long!
"Regarding my former side: once again I've built the Merseyside Reds to become some kind of force in the Pro League. After my first stint, the new manager was not able to lead the team to the very top. This time, with forty applications already, the team has once again the chance to become big.
"I did not really plan to leave them. Maybe I was even a bit hasty, given that I did not expect to be handed this opportunity in the first place, but if the talks with Kurupted are true, then I believe that my neighbour will do a much better job and lead the Reds to glory. Let that Red Flag wave!"
The Warriors will be travelling to Man United this evening and the manager is starting to get used to the new playing times. What line-up are we going to see? Nobody knows as of yet but according to some insiders, chrille left some snippets behind....
