Final Day Win Secures Playoff Spot!

A 0-3 win at bottom placed Flaggermus FC saw Crimson Star nick the playoff spot on goal difference in Division 5:23 after second placed Sola Gunners were beaten 0-2 on their own patch by Oppsal City, and third placed Ballistik FC dropped 2 goals in a 3-2 win at Bergen-Asane. Crimson Star secured second place by one goal, which came in the 75th minute, whilst Ballistik were at 2-2. Nerves ran high when news came in of Ballistik edging ahead in the 83rd minute, but Bergen held out to stop them scoring any further. There was an uproar of noise and rapturous celebrations from the bank of travelling Star supporters once both results were confirmed, and whilst he was obviously delighted with the result, Manager LFC73 tried to contain his joy over the prospect of a potentially difficult playoff match. "Obviously happy to get the win today," he said, " and very pleased with the lads efforts, but there are no easy games when it comes to playoff matches, so any celebrations are definitely on hold!" Confirmation of their opponents came through earlier today - DURIAN HUNTERS FC - but LFC73 was not available for comment at the time of going to press. To be continued....
