FC Portland reach Pro League Cup Final!

FC Portland played RIP X11 in the semi final in the game between the two surprise packages and after an even first half at 0-0 we went behind early in the 2nd half.  To our credit we didn't panic and had some good opportunities before star striker Rene-Solomon Wansi smashed home a Matty Fry cross.  It went to extra-time and as we were about to concede going out on penalties as RIP X11 had far the stronger goalie, on the day we got a free-kick. Defender and Captain Marvel Derrick Strickland lined up and smashed it home for a late winner. Tremendous feeling!!!! We face soon to be champions of the Pro League, The Hashashins. If they can get the title win it will mean that Stricklands goal actually has sent us to the XCL for the third time in the clubs history! The Champions League. Amazing feat and something we never would have predicted before the start of the season.  Now we have to be ready for today's game away against Sol Team. A win could get us into the play-offs for the 1st division. Exciting times to say the least for a team currently doing a rebuild.
