"There was jostling and name-calling in the tunnel as the two teams entered the field of play and a blood bath was on the cards," bruises manager Tony Brazil, "but once out there my Hippy Chicks toughed it out against the Idols.
"Ref Charlie Fender let the match run which was nice, though for the first half play stayed around the centre circle and resembled mainly an all-in wrestling match. Even Mr. Fender had enough, though, at the start of the second half and in his dramatic manner blew up for a penalty; thankfully it was for us.
"Penalty duly scored we protected the fragile lead till the end; for good measure near the end we badly-injured one of the Idols' key players to make the result safe," cheers Brazil, "the win catapults us up to fourth place, with three points now separating top from bottom in this super-tight division."
