There were no bottles poppin' during the half-time break at The Terrace this evening as the first 30 minutes left the crowd disappointed with 2 injuries and 1 goal conceded.
Entering the second half, Spaceship went up another gear, lining up chance after chance. However, the lack of experience up front seemed to be the decisive factor yet again, leading the team to another heavy break. The spark simply wasn't there.
With 10 minutes left on the clock and one of the team's brightest shining stars watching from the sidelines with an ice-pack around his right knee, the chants echoing around The Terrace grew quieter by the minute.
Although the show was far from over.
Into the picture steps Herman Gustafsson. After a screamer of a freekick in the top-right corner in the 82nd minute, 28 meters out, he slides towards the Curva screaming "IT AIN'T OVER UNTIL THE FAT LADY F**KING SINGS BOYS!"
And all of a sudden, that missing spark enters the picture.
Followed by Herman's roar, comes the team's best 10-minutes of Xpert-football since the arrival of coach Luddeiii. Spaceship bounce back into the front seat, leaving both Vreta Boys and the fans speechless.
With a close-to-impossible task of sneaking the qualification spot from Bakunin at hand, the team has found something to believe in.
