Massive overhaul guaranteed |
India's head-coach Sayan44, in his press conference today, has unveiled his views on last season and plans for upcoming season. He said,
On last season...
"It was a disappointing end for us. With 2 defeats and 1 draw in our last 3 matches, we lost everything. We were cruising to the title win and from there, we were thrown out of the play off place. It was heart-breaking for us."
On exit talks...
"For now I am staying here, and will try to reconstruct the squad."
On the transfer situation.....
"At the moment, we need a solid defender and a good midfielder to support the current bunch. I am sure the team is capable enough to go to 3rd or even 2nd division. But every squad is like a puzzle, and I believe, if we can make these additions I have said, we will have a positive impact, even we can say that the puzzle is solved."
On the outgoing.....
"The next thing, will be the outgoings. Obviously, we are currently 3 players short, may be 4. But we have 13 player squad, and average count should be upto 16 or even 18. So we will try to add 2-3 young lads, and will try to offload few of our own. But addition first, then only we will decide on the outgoings."
Goal for current season?
"Season's objective? I can't discuss at the moment, as we don't have the squad back from holiday yet. I have to assess the team and transfer situation, then only I will be able to comment on objective and further plans."
