Many years ago, while Elf were in the middle of a rebuild, the super talented Leo Brännlund appeared on the transfer market. 19 years old, 10 in skill and a free kick specialist. The club dug deep, about 40million econs were tabled and Leo became an elf.
The expectations were high, but the game engine immediately repriced him to a ridiculously low 8 millions. After his breakthrough season in 5th division, 21y/12skills, scoring 6 and providing 5 assists his value rose to about 10 millions. Meanwhile, special skilled 21/11 players were sold for 30-50 millions. As a 25/16 he was valued at 12 millions. Last year he took Elf up among the best in Pro League scoring 12 goals in the process. A 27/18 player, still just worth 12 millions. Elf have had no plan to sell, but for Brännlund it always felt like he didnt get the acknowledgment he deserved.
But then, on the 25th of August 2020, the game engine finally broke out of its psychosis and slammed a 60 million price tag on him. Finally we have justice for Brännlund. 28/19 and his potential is not yet fulfilled.
