A victory!
Wins are pretty hard to come by for The Fifth Column but they made all of the chance they had to claim one, the first one in the league, as they beat USB Xpert 0-2 in their Arena.
"We played a very solid game and the young lads did a fine job dominating the game. Our midfielder Bogosav Krajnovic made two splendid goals. His header was a thing of beauty and his penalty was executed perfectly. It is nice to have some more points on the scoreboard and great for the player's confidence and morale."
Just before the league game some surprise news came that 24-11 striker Nolberto Tena signed a contract with FC Gute and thus making his way to the Xpert International League. The Fifth Column collecting 8,2 million econ in the process for a player that came to the Points as a 17-4 for a mere 550k econ originally.
"It is a bit of a shame because Nolberto was sitting on an average form of 16 and currently on form 18. We invested a lot of time and resources to make a good forward out of him. Which he is. We would have liked to keep him but unfortunately our expenditure on all our training facilities and youth department Butcher's Graveyard proves so immense that we could do with some econ-injection. FC Gute is a nice team for him to play for, with strong players and we wish him well and thank him for the goals he scored and 86 games he played for us."
Yesterday The Fifth Column exited the cup losing their second leg in the cup 0-3 against Villafranca Penedes. All of the youngest have played again and some of them already have gathered the minimum of 16+ in DV they need for the whole season which is excellent news only being halfway the schedule.
The Fifth Column are in the part of the season where they actually might be able to accumulate some points and have some decent results. They will rent a flying saucer once more to meet up in Universitat Stadion with the baby E.T.'s of Uppsala UFOs, for the third season in a row, whom got a surprise win over VFB Buttfart last week.
