Bergamo in 7-goal thriller! |
Bergamo have picked up their first 3-points of the season, to the delight of manager Duncan Donuts. His side took on leaders Tezchester this lunchtime in a thrilling game of football that saw Bergamo come out on top.
The visitors, in great early season form, went ahead midway through the first half through striker Corona. Bergamo's Lowry pulled level 10 minutes later but they were pegged back once more when Carreras put the visitors 2-1 up. Shortly behalf the break Hielscher, who was provider for Lowry's goal, then took advantage of the favour Lowry offered in return to head home and go into the break 2-2.
Within moments of the restart, McElroy drove home a free kick to put Bergamo ahead for the first time in the game and, as they relaxed into their stride they looked more comfortable. However, the drama wasn't over as Carrario pulled the visitors level - the third of Tezchester's 3 strikers to score. As they game looked to be heading for a draw, up popped Bergamo's Max Waernoff to prod home from a corner to take all 3 points for the home side.
Their first points of the season, I doubt many more will come as sweeter as these.
