Heavy home defeat in penultimate game

Today, we faced bottom six side 'Real Bristol' who were just above us in the division with two games to go. With us likely to go down, I chose to pick an unusual 3-4-3 formation combined with a cautious playing style to use as many of those players needing to upgrade their development value.

Our opponents dominated from the off and had an early chance in only the 3rd minute. 'Real Bristol' did have another chance on 31 minutes, but otherwise we kept them pretty quiet seeing as they had come out with a 3-5-2 formation and offensive playing style.

'Real Bristol' made a really strong start to the second half and soon were ahead in the 51st minute. This forced us into a change of personal with Hartmut Witzel making way for Frants Haresøe in the midfield on 53 minutes. On the hour mark, our opponents made it 0-2 with a goal following a corner.

In the 78th minute, we made our second change with Tomas Schimmelpfennig coming off and Joachim Ortmann going on in his place.

It was 0-3 on 83 minutes as 'Real Bristol' scored from close range. We made our last change with 5 minutes to go with David Kessler being substituted by Lewis Oxley. In the 87th minute, Carmindo Dias got us a goal back from a corner by Lewis but 'Real Bristol' extended their lead again on 89 minutes to put paid to any thoughts of a comeback.

Poor performance and we never really stood a chance. We have one more game against 'IFK Reds' and we shall be playing again those players who need to up their DV before the season closes and we await the 'Change Report'.
