| Dreams actually do come true |
After being the manager for Surnadal Saints since 2012, we have finally made it. After drawing the home match against Montreal Halycons, and with Ant Hill Mob losing their away match and the Steelmen drawing against Terra Nova, our place in the Golden League is secured.
It took nine tough years and countless seasons before we actually made it. The journey began when I took over Esport Eviassu (?) in the fifth division and changed the name to Surnadal Saints. We climbed slow and steady and had one season in the first division in season 43. The key players were aging, so we had to rebuild the team. We fell down to division 4 before climbing up again. The rebuild has paid off, and here we are. The winners of division 1b.
How far can this team go? I am very unsure. We can probably avoid relegation, but the cup semi finals showed that we probably won't have a chance against league winners Dykasiki. We have an aging team, so we only have a short window where we can be a contender in the Golden League.
I am not sure if I have the patience to do another rebuild, so the promotion may very well be the beginning of the end for my reign at the Saints. Nevertheless, the next couple of seasons will be very exciting for the manager, players, and especially the supporters.
