Both manager Dan Magpie and Chairman Chet Parmer were happy to be sitting at the table while new 17 year old defender Filip Kusturica put pen to paper and signed a five year contract last night, "I would like to say a big thank you to Bladed Samurai manager, Drogs for helping me to move clubs and am feeling excited for this new chapter in my life." he said.
Magpie told reporters that, "There was ongoing talk's between both clubs for another player to make a move to us but unfortunately the young lad decided to join a different team at the 11th hour."
Parmer had this to say, "Since the first time we took over this club I have'nt had to spend so much money on a single player, however from the scout reports that I've read about Filip, I just could'nt say no to snapping him up, however I do feel that the squad is now big enough to not need to add any more fresh face's to the ranks."
Margate are over the first half of the season now sitting pretty in second place, only two points behind Town Green FC, but all is still to play for with just four points between the top four teams.
