Barry: "Giving Up" |
FC Totti United Ronaldo surprisingly tied the already relegated Talinna Kalev in the 13th round of Dream League Season 56's Division 1a 0-0 which has made Totti manager BarryHero give up on any promotion dreams:
"That was definitely disappointing. We played one of the worst teams in the division and only managed a 0-0 tie when a win would have secured us a top two spot. Now we would have to beat Froggle Rock away to have a chance to finish first, and I honestly don't see us doing that. Furthermore, the TrocaDrinkers play Oranien Berlin at home, and with Berlin already having avoided relegation, I can't imagine any other result than a TrocaDrinkers win in that game," BarryHero said.
Totti is currently first in the division, but states that the team won't even try to gain promotion:
"There is no point. We will definitely lose against Froggle Rock - who has an incredible manager and is a solid team that reached the Dream League Cup semifinal this season - and TrocaDrinkers will definitely beat Oranien Berlin. We will settle with a third straight third-place position and be happy with that. We have players that need playing time so we will be focusing on form training and giving our younger players invaluable game time in the last couple of weeks of the season. We congratulate the TrocaDrinkers on a spot in the Dream League and wish Froggle Rock the best of luck in the Dream League playoff round. Make Division 1a proud!," BarryHero continued.
In other news, experienced Totti midfielder Rolf Rydberg has left the club during the season. The 34-year-old free kick-specialist signed for the Euro League Division 5 club Umbrella Corporation for a total of 2.5 million econ. He played an impressive 326 games, scored 26 goals, and provided 66 assists since joining the senior Totti squad as a 16-year-old. The Totti News wishes him the best of luck at his new club.
Totti will play the 19-year-old goalkeeper Kristian Carling in goal in the away game against Froggle Rock. Other youth players will also start.
