| Will Penguins miss out again |
So close but yet so far, is the best expression that I can use ahead of the final game of the season. If results go in favour of the top positioned teams, then for the second season in succession, the Penguins will miss out on the title by a single point. It would be gut wrenching to go through that again, but it remains a possibility.
While it is important to stay optimistic and concentrate on our own match first, I just can't see Helsingfors RG slipping up now with a manager who has triumphed in the past with this team and are looking to become 3 time Final League champions. I am reliant on not only my own team winning but also a favourable result elsewhere on the final round of games, again a possibility but not one that will happen in my opinion.
What is next for the Penguins? Although I have not yet fully decided one way or the other, a rebuild of sorts is on the cards and with that a slide back down the Final League pyramid. Which would make missing out on the title at this stage even more of a tough pill to swallow, AGAIN!
