Real Madrid looks to have finally got their act together with a final day 6-1 annihilation of Stickers FC, a result which guarantees another crack of the whip in the fabled Master league.
The manager's assessment of the season was as follows:
'After the start we had, it was imperative that we picked up the pace in the final 4 games of the season and we duly deliverd with 4 outstanding games (3 wins and a draw), including a 3-0 demolition against, ML cup winners, Sundets Parla. We have ended up as the top scorers in the ML along with our club top scorer (Ned Ambler) having the most points and goals'.
What's the plan for next season?
'We have 3 outstanding youth players which might be sold to bolster the quality in the club. The team will peak next season, so I imagine it's our last shot at glory. If we can get off to a good start, then you never know where we'll be after week 14 of the new season'.
How would you rate your debut season in the Master League?
'Slightly disappointing, especially as our first win came after the 7th game of the season, from there it was an uphill battle to even be in contention for a title charge. I just hope we get off to a better start next time around. We can be happy to have survived in the ML and even made a slight mark, being the top goalscorers and having individual accolades but I hope more is to come.
'Next season will be a golden era for the ML with so much quality on show. The teams that have stayed up are extremely strong and then we have the new boys CCCP who will be chomping at the bit, after a multi-year plan to lift some major honours'.
